Afro Samurai na pierwszy rzut oka jest co najwyżej średniakiem. Grafika jest podejrzanie słaba, z lokacji wieje nudą, a walki z bossami są żałośnie głupie. Niemniej tytuł ma w sobie pewną magię, którą wprawdzie ciężko opisać słowami, ale postaram się temu sprostać.
Gra mocno bazuje na japońskim serialu opowiadającym o czarnoskórym samuraju. Mamy znajomych bohaterów, podobną, aczkolwiek nie do końca identyczną historię, no i potężne opaski, które podobno dają ich właścicielowi boską moc. Historia została opowiedziana dosyć sprawnie i nad wyraz subtelnie. Z niemałą frajdą oglądałem filmiki odpalające się podczas wczytywania poszczególnych etapów. Podziwiamy pourywane sceny, niezupełnie czytelnie fotografie oraz słuchamy interesujących dialogów. To wszystko sprawia, że grę spowija mgła tajemnicy, którą za wszelką cenę chcemy poznać.
